Psst…. This list is a work in progress!
What therapy approaches do you use?
I use an integrative approach, meaning that I use strategies from several therapy traditions to meet each individual’s particular needs. I draw on strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), humanistic (Rogerian), and psychodynamic (Freudian) paradigms.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can check to see if I’m accepting new patients by calling my voicemail at 469.420.0016. To request an appointment, email me at dr.sabrina.austin@gmail.com. Please give a brief description of what you’re interested in addressing.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes, my practice has shifted to being primarily virtual, though I do see a few people in-office on Fridays.
What should I expect in my first visit?
Lots of questions, bad jokes, and a desire to make you feel at ease! It takes time to get to know anyone, so the first few sessions are spent gathering information and getting to know each other.
Is my information kept confidential?
Absolutely, your privacy is always a top priority.
